The Delhi Court extended the interim bail of a PMLA case accused for six weeks due to his critical post-operative condition. The decision was based on verified medical reports, with strict conditions for medical compliance.

In a significant ruling, the Delhi Court extended the interim bail of an accused in a Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) case, citing his critical post-operative condition. The accused, who underwent spinal surgery in January 2025, had initially been granted interim bail on medical grounds, which was extended previously due to his ongoing recovery. His counsel argued that further care, including six weeks of bed rest and supervised physiotherapy, was required for his recovery.

After reviewing medical records, the Court noted that the applicants condition required specialized care not available in jail. The bail was extended for six weeks, with strict conditions, including immediate medical tests and physiotherapy. The Court dismissed the Enforcement Directorates request for a medical board, emphasizing the authenticity of the accuseds medical reports.
