Delhi Health Minister Promises Major Healthcare Reforms in 100 Days

Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh announced major healthcare reforms in 100 days, including implementingAyushman Bharat and hospital upgrades. He also pledged stricter monitoring of medicine quality and healthcare services.

 

New Delhi: On Thursday, Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh announced that significant changes in the citys healthcare system will be evident within the next 100 days. Speaking to the media, Mr. Singh revealed that registration for the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan ArogyaYojana (PM-JAY) will commence after March 8. He criticized the previous AAP government for not implementing the scheme and vowed to ensure its rollout.


He also addressed the Comptroller and Auditor Generals report, accusing the former government of awarding medicine tenders to blacklisted companies. In response, he assured that Delhi residents would receive quality medicines.


Additionally, he unveiled plans for mobile dental vans to improve access to dental care in rural areas, along with other reforms aimed at upgrading government hospitals.
